Most every year of late I spend a happy dusty weekend stone carving, making a sculpture to project video onto.
These two characters, held in an intimate physical embrace, seem very much in love, and I particularly like the nuanced interplay of how she gazes at him, and he is happy and content.
They are brought together in this physical time, though they never actually met. The girl is from a 1950’s interview, where she is on LSD and being asked about colour:
