Khôra
A generative series in which particles drift around hidden structures, slowly building images that feel both emergent and remembered.
Khôra creates a slow, self-forming image space in which diffusing particles gather around an unseen structure and leave a record of their passage. Each work unfolds continuously rather than as a fixed loop, so form emerges through duration, attention, and accumulation. The series rewards sustained looking: the longer the viewer stays with it, the more the image reads as a living trace of change rather than a static picture.
Nothing in the work is given all at once. Form arrives through delay, accumulation, and the viewer’s willingness to stay with it, so the image behaves less like a picture than a record of ongoing becoming. That temporal structure carries May’s long-standing concern with memory into generative software, while the blockchain release makes circulation part of the work’s material life rather than an external afterthought.
