This collection of 25 original hand-crafted algorithmic and generative artworks by digital artist Alex May were created on the Tezos blockchain for sale direct to collectors during February and March 2025.

The name BLAZE comes from the concept that “time is a slow fire”, which Alex continues to explore through many of his art projects. As they are code based, the works are live, meaning they are creating themselves directly in your web browser window rather than being a playback of a video. This means they never repeat and they never end.
The algorithms used were based on techniques explored in works such as Shadows of Light and the ongoing Algorithmic Photography series, but applied to an abstract algorithmic form.
