NFT interview on talkRADIO

Alex May was interviewed by Kevin O'Sullivan on talkRADIO about NFTs, blockchain, and the changing ownership and monetisation of digital art.
Alex May was interviewed by Kevin O’Sullivan on talkRADIO on 4 April 2021 about NFTs and the way blockchain technologies were reshaping the ownership and monetisation of digital assets. The interview brought a fast-moving art world debate into a mainstream broadcast context at a moment when questions of value, speculation, and digital authorship were becoming difficult to ignore.
For May, the subject was not simply about market novelty. The discussion touched on issues that connect directly to the wider practice: how digital works are authenticated, what ownership means for immaterial art, and how technological systems change what can be kept, traded, or treated as real. In that sense, the interview extended concerns already present in the work into a public conversation about culture, infrastructure, and trust.
The appearance also led into May’s later Computer Arts Society panel on 13 April 2021, where these questions were explored in more depth with a specialist art audience.
