Khôra

Building on a historical genealogy of systems art, the Khôra series stages a critical prompt about the nature of the “receptacle” – the invisible, prepared space where emergent forms can “become.”

The works are real-time, autonomous systems where diffusing particles are guided by a hidden, underlying structure. This process queries the generative potential of “slow interaction,” rewarding sustained attention. The accumulation of traces transforms each piece into a living, collective record, an exploration of time-based media and the archival poetics of a shared digital space.

The series treats its underlying code as a performative site, examining the non-neutrality of computational systems and the specific qualities of digital materiality. This inquiry extends to the medium’s distribution, investigating the blockchain as a critical medium and a novel, emergent form of community infrastructure.
